Need longer connection cord for a remote flash to camera set up.?

The cord from my external flash to my camera is only about a foot long; I want to get a hot shoe to tripod screw adapter so I can put this flash on a tripod, and thus will also need a longer cable. The cable connections don't seem to be universal. Where do I find a 6 to 12 foot cable to replace the small one that came with the flash unit. This is for an Olympus camera. My camera already has a built in flash but I want to use the remote as a bounce flash or slave flash, and not attach it to the camera hotshoe, but to a tripod instead Can this be done?

You might be better off buying an infra red trigger to mount on your camera rather than having really long cables everywhere. Try B&H. They are likely to have whatever you need.
